Joran Van Der Sloot

I watched the interview on 20/20 last night and I've been reading the fallout from it. Specifically the response by Van Der Sloot's attorney.

This is what I think. I think he lied about calling someone to dispose the body. I believe he disposed of it himself. The events around his friend coming over to dispose the body and Joran's walk home apparently don't line up. The phone call from the phone booth couldn't have happened because it doesn't take local calls. I believe that he was on the beach with her and I believe that while she was with him she died and I believe that he did absolutely nothing to help her and I believe he disposed of the body.

And the fact that he did dispose of the body implies to me that he was somehow involved in her death.

One thing is for sure; his attitude regarding the entire episode has been and continues to be absolutely disgusting.

I wonder if his parents continue to feel compelled to unconditionally stand behind him.

I've wandered about his parents also. Being the mother of two boys I can only imagine how painful it would be to know your son was capable of doing such a thing.

What I can't imagine is covering up for them and I do believe this boys parents know what happened and have covered up facts important to the case. In my opinion that makes them as guilty as he is.

The boy has no conscience. It made me sick to my stomach to hear him say he had lost no sleep over what happened. Or, when he said he, "just got lucky."

His attitude is unpardonable.

Innocent until proven guilty. Maybe the parts of the call you're hearing are taken out of context... Maybe, after being arrested twice and walking, he was letting off steam by joking tastelessly. Maybe he's a murderous dirtbag. Either way, people are dwelling on this waaaay too much.

Galactichero - I think I've been on your blog....I'm trying to remember you. Are you the one that blogged about NO after Katrina?

Ah ha, I remember now...you're blog was something about an omelette. I used to have you linked to my blog but when I upgraded to the "beta" version, I lost a lot of links. Including yours..... Thanks for stopping by!
